For the first month of Max's life he knew one sound to make... the oh so pitiful cry of a newborn. He still makes that sound (and quite frequently some days) but he is starting to discover other sounds to make too. The other day he was in his swing waiting patiently for me to make his bottle... I was in the kitchen and I hear a little baby shriek, so I come hopping to make sure all is still well. Max is just sitting in his swing and looking around like no big deal. Then he proceeds to make other new and interesting shrieks, screams, and grunts, making sure to pause in between and look around to see what reaction if any these new sounds produced. He wasn't upset, he was just experimenting. He is also starting to make the beautiful baby coos when he is playing with you. Everytime he makes a new sound he almost looks suprised that these sounds came out of him. I love these new sounds and this little bit of growth makes me so excited to watch him grow and discover even more things!
Oh, and just in case you all didn't know... our child is weird.
He loves his swing (that isn't the weird part). He loves to sit in it after he has had his fill of playtime and he loves to fall asleep in it (still not the weird part). He also LOVES to lay on the ottoman next to the swing and watch it swing! That my friends IS the weird part!
Here is Max staring at his swing!

I can just hear you saying all of this- I love how you type exactly how you talk. The little coos are super cute, make sure he keeps those around for when I finally visit.
